Wonder Beat S, planned and supervised by Osamu Tezuka, began broadcasting on 4/16/1986.
Many of you may remember Ultra Seven Episode 31, “The Devil’s Dwelling Flower,” as he fights inside his body aboard the micronized Wonder Beat.
This idea of micronizing and entering the body may possibly have influenced later works such as working cells. (Delusion)
The only disappointment was that it was on Wednesdays at 19:30, behind “Mezon Ikkoku”. It was the same slot as Infinite Orbit SSX was behind Urusei.
There was also NHK’s association game, which did not excite the audience in terms of ratings. There was also a mini-talk by Osamu Tezuka as a small story.
